Drilling Fluids / Muds

Drilling fluids (aka "Muds") for water wells are specialised, often water-based mixtures (bentonite or polymers) designed to remove rock cuttings, stabilise borehole walls to prevent collapse, and cool the drill bit. These fluids, which include additives like viscosifiers and lubricants, control pressure and protect the aquifer.
